Collection and Use of Information

SBCERA collects user information via the website for statistical and systems administration purposes only. This user information is anonymous and has no personal user information associated with it. The collected information is analyzed to determine user interest in the various areas of our site, to identify system performance or problem areas, and to improve the value of the materials available on the website. We do not link this information to anything personally identifiable. This means that a user’s session will be tracked, but the user will be anonymous.

Additionally, SBCERA collects personal information to access the member portal. This personal information enables access to the member database, but no information is collected without a user’s agreement to SBCERA’s Terms and Conditions. SBCERA is the sole owner of any personal information collected and does not sell, share, rent, or otherwise distribute any of this information for commercial or other purposes not related to the administration of SBCERA.

Third-Party Collection and Use of Information

SBCERA uses third-party services to provide a variety of functionality within the website and member portal. The third-party services used include, but are not limited to, analytics tracking for user experience enhancements, user agreed to alert notifications, and chat functionality for customer service. Additional information is collected within the member portal that provides access to a member’s specific data for a variety of uses, including member statements, benefit estimates, and tax information.
