Publications
SBCERA has developed several publications for members to assist in understanding a variety of retirement options and enhancements. These publications are available both on the SBCERA website as PDF files and directly from SBCERA as printed documents.
The Compass
The most up-to-date version of The Compass: Navigating Your Retirement Benefit Plan, more formally known as the SBCERA Summary Plan Description, is always available online. The Compass, an SBCERA handbook for members, was last updated in 2014, per the California Public Employees’ Pension Reform Act (PEPRA) effective January 1, 2013.
