Tyler Johnson

Tyler Johnson is an Associate Investment Officer with the San Bernardino County Employees’ Retirement Association (SBCERA). As a member of the investment team, Mr. Johnson is responsible for evaluating and underwriting investment opportunities, manager selection and monitoring, and facilitating the growth and execution of SBCERA’s investment strategy.
 
Prior to joining SBCERA in September 2026, Mr. Johnson was an Investment Analyst at The California Endowment, a nonprofit committed to supporting the health of Californians. He began his investment career as an Investment Banking Analyst at Harris Williams, focused on mergers and acquisitions.
 
Mr. Johnson earned a dual Bachelor’s Degree in both Philosophy and the College of Social Studies from Wesleyan University.
 
Before attending Wesleyan, Mr. Johnson enlisted in the United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsman. While serving he was embedded into Marine Corps battalions and was stationed in Quantico, VA and Camp Pendleton, CA. Mr. Johnson received an Honorable Discharge in 2016.
 
Mr. Johnson was born and raised in San Bernardino County.
