We will respond to your message as soon as possible, but our response may be delayed as we’re experiencing a high volume of requests.
We’re Processing Retirements on Schedule
If you have submitted an application for an upcoming retirement, don’t worry. We’re processing your application and you will receive your pension check on schedule. If you are considering retirement in the next 60-90 days and haven’t submitted an application, contact SBCERA by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We’re Making Upcoming Retirement Payments on Schedule
Retirees—your upcoming benefit payments are on schedule. The next SBCERA benefit payment date can be found at the top of the website or viewed on the 2020 benefit payment dates calendar.
Need a Copy of a recent paystub?
Retirees and Beneficiaries—Due to our office closure, we did not mail paystubs (also called a pay advice) for your recent benefit payment, but you can get a copy on mySBCERA, our online member portal. Instructions on how to create a mySBCERA account and access your paystub can be viewed on the .
2020 COLA (Cost-of-Living Adjustment)
Members who retire on or before April 1 will receive the 2020 cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) of 2%, and the increase will automatically be included in your benefit payments beginning April 30.
Forms Are Being Accepted Via Email and Fax
Members can view and download forms from our website or MemberDirect. You can find most of our forms by visiting our Forms page.
Retirement Counseling Sessions
One-on-one retirement consultations are available via phone. We have suspended in-person counseling sessions. If you have an existing appointment, we will reach out to you to discuss your options.
