Overview

Out of an abundance of caution and care for everyone’s safety and well-being, all in-person seminars have been converted to webinars until further notice. 

Planning your retirement can be difficult, especially with all the choices you have to make and factors to consider. These virtual events are designed to provide you with the information you need to help you feel confident in your future retirement decisions. 

Generally, a Pre-Retirement Webinar is focused on members that are about 5 or more years away from retirement. A Mid-Career Webinar is focused on members that are about 10 or more years away from retirement.

Once registered using a link below, you will receive a registration confirmation and reminders prior to the webinar.

Attendance Criteria

  Age Tier 1 – Service Credit Tier 2 (hired on or after 1/1/13) – Service Credit
Pre-Retirement Webinar

48+

At least 8 years At least 4 years
Mid-Career Webinar 30+ At least 5 years At least 4 years

Your individual employer may have additional criteria for attending an SBCERA webinar and may require approval from your supervisor prior to attending.

Members without online access may RSVP for webinars by contacting the SBCERA Communications Department at communications@sbcera.org. Please include your complete name, employee ID or birth date, phone number, preferred seminar date, and number of attendees (members may bring one guest).
