Our SBCERA Office is Closed
Our office is currently closed to the public, but we have staff
working off-site to serve you. You can call us at (909) 885-7980,

respond to your message as soon as possible, but our response may
be delayed as we’re experiencing a high volume of requests.
We’re Processing Retirements on Schedule
If you have submitted an application for an upcoming retirement,
don’t worry. We’re processing your application and you will
receive your pension check on schedule. If you are considering
retirement in the next 60-90 days and haven’t submitted an
application, contact SBCERA by sending an email

Retirees—your upcoming benefit payments are on schedule. The next
SBCERA benefit payment date can be found at the top of the
website or viewed on the 2020 benefit payment dates
Need a Copy of a recent paystub?
Retirees and Beneficiaries—Due to our office closure, we did not
mail paystubs (also called a pay advice) for your
recent benefit payment, but you can get a copy on
MemberDirect, our online member portal. Instructions on how to
create a MemberDirect account and access your paystub can be
viewed on the How to Access Your Paystubs Instructions.
2020 COLA (Cost-of-Living Adjustment)
Members who retire on or before April 1 will receive the 2020
cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) of 2%, and the increase will
automatically be included in your benefit payments beginning

Members can view and download forms from our website or
MemberDirect. You can find most of our forms by visiting
our Forms page.
Retirement Counseling Sessions
One-on-one retirement consultations are available via phone. We
have suspended in-person counseling sessions. If you have an
existing appointment, we will reach out to you to discuss your
All Group Events Are Postponed
We have postponed all group events, including Mid-Career and
Pre-Retirement seminars and webinars. We have also cancelled
select meetings of the Board of Retirement and various Board
committees. Information regarding these events, along with any
notices of special Board meetings, will be posted to this
