Important Notice - This retirement calculator does not produce an official SBCERA estimate and SBCERA is not bound by the results.

The estimate shows your projected service retirement benefit based on the information you entered and is for the Unmodified Benefit only. Your actual benefit is based on your date of retirement, final earnable compensation, verified service credit, and other factors that may differ from the factors used to calculate this estimate. Your benefit may also be subject to cost-of-living adjustments (COLAs), legislative and judicial legal actions, and your reciprocal rights, if any, from other pension systems. The calculator does not provide estimates of disability retirement benefits.

Reciprocal service credit counts towards determining when a member has accrued the minimum amount of service credit to qualify for retirement. Previous county service purchased (e.g. extra help, part time or previous membership) also counts towards the minimum service requirement.
