IMPORTANT RETIREE/BENEFICIARY NOTICE:
Retiree Vision Plan Update
Open Enrollment Extended Until April 30, 2010
VSP Vision Care and the State Association of County Retirement Systems (SACRS) have partnered together to offer SBCERA retirees and beneficiaries with comprehensive vision coverage at an affordable rate.
Open-enrollment begins April 1, 2010. SBCERA retirees and beneficiaries may enroll themselves and any eligible dependents in the vision plan. VSP Premiums are based on the number of dependents enrolled. They include:
Retiree only = $10.51 per month
Retiree + One Dependent = $20.53 per month
Retiree + Family = $24.05 per month
All SBCERA retirees should receive open-enrollment materials from VSP Vision Care in the mail. The open-enrollment period is from April 1, 2010 through April 30, 2010. Upon enrollment, the vision benefit will begin June 1, 2010 and vision premiums will be automatically deducted from your SBCERA retirement benefit payment. If retirees do not enroll by April 30, they will not be eligible to enroll again until the next open-enrollment period in May 2011.
