Timothy B. Barrett

Timothy Barrett is Executive Director and Chief Investment Officer of the San Bernardino County Employees' Retirement Association (SBCERA) and Board Secretary of Pacific Public Partners. He was recently elected vice president of the State Association of County Retirement Systems. Under his direction, SBCERA was named Public Plan of the Year in 2004, 2007 and 2010 by leading industry publications. Barrett was formerly SBCERA's investment manager and began his career there as a project manager. He serves on the 2004 and 2008 European Strategic Partners Advisory Boards of Standard Life Investments, and is a board member of The Children's Fund, a local charity serving at-risk youth. A member of the CFA Institute and a charter holder of the CFA designation, Barrett earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Montana and a Master’s of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Financial and Tax Planning from San Diego State University..
