Brian Long

Mr. Long has served as an Investment Officer for the San Bernardino County Employees’ Retirement Association (SBCERA) since 2007. He directly assists the Executive Director with developing policy and investment goals, implementing investment objectives and the selection of investment managers.

Previously, Mr. Long was an Investment Officer with the Los Angeles County Employees’ Retirement Association (LACERA). He was responsible for managing LACERA’s $12 billion domestic equity allocation. Prior to LACERA, Mr. Long was a Relationship Manager with Commonfund. In that capacity, he assisted endowments and foundations with asset allocation, investment and spending policy, and rebalancing strategies.

Mr. Long earned a Bachelors of Science in Accounting from San Diego State University and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Pepperdine University. He is a CFA charter holder. He is a member of the CFA Institute and is a member of the CFA Society of Los Angeles.

A native of Southern California, Mr. Long resides in Redlands with his wife and young daughter and son. He spends most of his free time with his family and is an avid golfer.
